Volunteering Changes And Saves Lives
The Walking With Giants Foundation is a small national charity registered in England and Wales supporting families affected by Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism across the UK and around the world. We rely heavily on a small group of passionate and dedicated volunteers who participate in a wide variety of ways.
We have volunteers of different ages and backgrounds who bring with them a range of skills and experience. We also have a number of volunteers who have personal experience dealing with the impacts Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism can have on family life.
Volunteering does not necessitate a regular commitment. The WWGF have volunteering opportunities to suit whatever level of time you can give, from regular volunteering roles, ad hoc volunteering at bucket collections and bag packing, through to one-off support at one of our events. Some volunteering roles can be carried out from home, while others will take you out and about, especially during our Annual Retreat.
We do not underestimate the value the work that our volunteers have done for us over the last 11 years. We are determined to provide the best possible experience and support for everyone who gets involved in the work we do. Read our Volunteer Agreement for more information.
You can find out more about the Walking With Giants current volunteering opportunities below. Alternatively, if you have a particular skill that you would like to grow, or a specific area that you would like to volunteer in, we will always, where possible, try to accommodate this. In particular if you have experience in any of the following areas, we’d love to hear from you:
- Photography (Liverpool)
- Translation Services (written and spoken)
- Grant Writing
If you would like to express an interest in any of above areas of help, please email John Connerty on firstname.lastname@example.org
