Contacting WWGF has been a life changing experience for us as a family.
When my daughter Nailah was diagnosed with an unknown form of Primordial Dwarfism I had never felt so alone and did not know what to door where to turn.
I decided to try and search on the Google Search Engine, I typed in MOPD2, and this is when I came across Walking With Giants Foundation. I was scared of contacting them as I did not know what I would find out about Nailah's condition and whether I could cope with this information.
However one day I decided enough was enough and I had to take the bull by the horns rather than living in fear so I plucked up the courage and called where I met the wonderful Sue. After speaking to Sue at length, who heads the charity, I felt a huge burden had been lifted from my shoulders and I no longer felt I was alone and that there were other families were going through the same experience.
I was invited to the WWGF 5th annual convention in Liverpool and after attending it I came back more confident than ever because it helped me discover that there is such as strong support network out there that I knew nothing about.
It was great meeting all the other families and the support that I received from both Sue and John was great as they made us feel very welcome. Forming a friendship with all the families at Walking with Giants has been life changing and I see it as nothing but beneficial for the long term future for my daughter.
The WWGF had provide me with so much support both emotionally and financially, they have helped to fund some of my driving lessons, so that in the future I will be able to attend the multiple doctor's appointments with minimum transport issues.
WWGF have also provided us with an amazing opportunity of a lifetime, by helping fund our trip to Washington DC for the Little People of America conference 2013 so that we can meet other families from around the world. I can not put in to words how they have helped me and I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for everything.
